Beer Fridge - Nuclear Acid

from A Sense of Solidarity Vol 1 by The Warzone Collective

about

Formed in late 2011 following the demise of long time WA punks 3 DAYS LATER. Founder of BEERFRIDGE films/ record label and ex front man Karlost teamed up with Kiwi punk Gregos in the well thrashed, rat infested, bottle cap strewn band room in Margaret River, to try their luck at collaborating some new, fresh original melodic thrash tunes. There differing techniques in the punk rock riff world seemed to meld well, and two or three new songs came to light in a short period of time. But what to do about a drummer?!. Some weeks earlier at a Silver Lizard show in Bunbury's Prince of Wales hotel, Gregos mentioned to Karlost how the drummer was "Not to bad aye bro!" 'he is good looking', replied Karlost, and he drinks like a fish! Hence Chris the bearded lady was asked if he would like to have a jam with the boys while his Lizard band mates were on hiatus in the U.S.A. Chris showed up a couple weeks later, set up his drums and 2 hours in, it seemed as if everyone knew that a new band had just formed right there and then. So we hit the recording studio after one jam and recorded a 3 song demo. With the addition of thrash bassist Jordan GoSATTI Balls to round off the quartet. A month or so later, our band room and all our gear went up in a ball of fire. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, and a carton of Coopers. A rebuild of a new band room was in order and slowed the progress for a few months, but now back on our knees with a story to tell, the southwest institution that is BEERFRIDGE is here to tear your ears off and put more hair on your upper lip, with their debut full length album "TALES FROM THE THRASHCAN". PxTxD available from MGM distribution and BEERFRIDGE RECORDS. Out now!
